Baby Vishaka Shejul, a 2-year-old baby girl, has been diagnosed with a complex and life-threatening congenital heart condition known as Supracardiac TAPVC. This condition means that her pulmonary veins are not connected to the left atrium as they should be, making it extremely difficult for oxygen-rich blood to circulate properly through her body.
Alongside this, she suffers from a large fenestrated ASD, moderate TR, and dilated heart chambers, all of which worsen her fragile state. Vishaka is also failing to thrive—unable to gain healthy weight and strength like a normal child her age.
Doctors at JJ Hospital have strongly advised immediate surgical repair of the TAPVC, a high-risk but necessary procedure that offers Vishaka a real chance at survival and recovery.
Estimated Cost of Treatment: ₹2,50,000
This amount includes:
- Surgical repair of TAPVC
- ICU stay and postoperative care
- Investigations, doctor fees, anesthesia, and medicines
Vishaka’s father is a daily wage laborer struggling to make ends meet. Despite his hard work and dedication, affording this surgery is financially impossible for him.
